About Us

Engineered Solutions. Proven Performance. Trusted Leadership.

Randy’s Transmissions combines mechanical expertise with a dedicated engineering focus to deliver reliable drivetrain solutions. Our products are rigorously tested on the road and in the shop to ensure they withstand the most demanding conditions.

Spearheaded by Randy Reyes and Frank Kuperman Jr., we operate 60,000 square feet of manufacturing space combined across Utah and North Carolina. This dual-facility footprint, supported by a nationwide dealer network, allows us to provide two-day shipping and expert local support to truck owners throughout the United States.

Our Story

Established in 2008, Randy’s Transmissions started in a small shed behind Randy’s home in Grantsville, Utah. He wanted to build a shop that offered high-quality products and great customer service. As demand increased, the shop moved into a 900 square foot, two-bay facility. Randy’s personal truck, Red Delicious, became a testing platform used to validate the strongest transmission components available and to expose the weaknesses that needed to be engineered out.

By the early 2010s, we earned a reputation for builds that worked for daily hauling and off-road environments. We also began providing feedback to part manufacturers to improve industry designs. In 2018, we moved to a larger facility in Tooele, Utah, and also began shipping products to Australia, Africa, and Europe. In 2022, we brought torque converter manufacturing in-house to ensure quality. By 2024, the converter division moved into its own dedicated building to handle national demand.

“We had a customer who lives in Phoenix lose a transmission on a new rebuild. That is not something that happens to us very often. But it does happen. I get that everyone is terrified to talk about such things, but I tell it how it is. I believe in being real and I have nothing to hide. So last night, about 10 pm, I drove through the night on a 12-hour drive to get the customer taken care of. If you can’t stand with your customers, how can you expect them to stand with you?”

— Randy Reyes (June 2018)

Frank Kuperman

Frank Kuperman Jr, Owner

Frank brings over 26 years of experience in the automatic transmission and performance aftermarket to the team. Having served as CEO for industry leaders like TransGo, Transmission Specialties, and RevMax, he now focuses on refining engineering standards and national strategy at Randy’s Transmissions.

A pioneer in the diesel market, he has developed widely adopted upgrades like the billet channel plate for the 68RFE. He also owns Fluidyne High Performance, providing cooling technology used in NASCAR. His expertise ensures the company remains at the forefront of drivetrain innovation and thermal management.

Looking Ahead

Randy’s Transmissions continues to grow while staying true to our original principles. Our new Charlotte, North Carolina facility opened on January 5, 2026. This expansion increases our fulfillment capabilities and national parts availability.

We are preparing to release several new engineered drivetrain solutions, while also developing a first-ever two-piece billet output shaft for the 68RFE and launching a billet reusable cartridge-style filter system. Our team is working on new hard parts for the Aisin AS69RC platform. We are also designing billet upgrade components for the 8AP Powerline transmission used in 2025 and newer Ram trucks. In early 2026, we intend to launch a new line of high-performance diesel radiators with Fluidyne.
