Revmax 68RFE Steel Center Support

The original 68RFE stock center support has some issues that affect both stock and modified trucks. The soft cast aluminum housing causes the steel clutch plates to dig into the sides, leading to problems with clutch release, rattling, and eventual failure of the 4th clutch and housing. Additionally, the 4th clutch snap ring can easily blow out of its groove and damage the housing. Other companies sell an ineffective aluminum snap ring retainer. To address these issues, Revmax has created a 1045 Billet STEEL 68RFE Center Support and 4th clutch Housing that is made of medium hardness steel and features a thicker 4C snap ring groove that will not blow out. The tighter fit reduces flex and strengthens the internal assembly. The support also increases clutch surface area by 50% and features 5 clutches instead of the factory 3. The billet aluminum 4C piston has a solid face apply area compared to the factory bonded piston with a thin apply face. The support can be retrofitted into any 68RFE and comes with a billet piston, custom pressure plate, and 5 GPZ clutches and steels. The kit does not include a billet 2c apply piston.
